Dress COde
Dress Code 2020-2021
We believe a standardized dress code (uniforms) emphasizes a positive school environment that promotes high academic standards and good behavior. In order to prepare for the upcoming school year, please follow the guidelines listed below when purchasing clothing for “Back to School”.
CLOTHING
Shorts/Pants:

Navy or khaki pants or shorts only

Pants need to fit at the waist

No sweatpants, warm-up pants, or athletic shorts

Regular jeans may be worn on Fridays only. Should jeans/pants have frays, rips, or tears above the mid-thigh (appropriate length of shorts), students must wear leggings underneath the jeans.

The CFBISD Code of Conduct states that skirts and short must be of appropriate length, at or about mid-thigh or longer
Skirts, Jumpers, and Leggings:

Navy or khaki skirts

Navy or khaki jumpers or dresses

Leggings may be worn if the shirt drapes to mid-thigh

Leggings and tights must be solid colors (red, white, navy blue, or black)
Shirts:
-
Solid red, white, or navy blue polo style shirt or blouse

Stark spirit shirts are acceptable any day of the week

Undershirts must be solid colors (red, white, navy blue, or black)
Jackets, Sweaters, and Sweatshirts:
-
Stark sweatshirts, Stark or solid colored hoodies may be worn throughout the day (red, navy, or white)

Any coat may be worn to and from school during cold weather. Coats will be stored in the classroom during the day.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO LABEL YOUR CHILD’S COAT/SWEATER
Shoes:

Closed-toe flat shoes with rubber soles

Athletic Shoes with rubber soles

Socks and tights must be red, white, navy blue, or black (no patterns or designs)
PERSONAL GROOMING & ACCESSORIES
Hair:

Hair, by color or design, may not create a distraction to the learning environment.

If designs are shaved into the hair, they must be school appropriate and may not be considered inappropriate by school administration.
Accessories:

Headbands - should not block the vision of surrounding students, see attached visuals for acceptable/unacceptable items.

No excessive or distracting jewelry
Where there is a question on the dress or appearance of the student, campus administration will make the final decision. If it is determined that the clothing or grooming of the student violates these expectations, the student will be given the opportunity to correct the problem by calling home. If the problem is not corrected, appropriate communication and disciplinary procedures will be followed.
