Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Today we are kicking off our national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

To celebrate, we will be playing Loteria daily. Loteria is a traditional Mexican game similar to bingo, but uses images on a deck of cards instead of numbers. We will also learn about influential Hispanic leaders throughout history and the positive impact they have made on the world.

Our celebration will culminate on September 30, with a day dedicated to cultural pride. We encourage all students and staff to dress up in their cultural attire to honor and share their heritage. We can't wait to see everyone's festive outfits!
