Showing Up in Style: How We Celebrated Attendance Awareness Month!

September was Attendance Awareness Month, and our school community proved that showing up every day can be just as fun as it is important. To highlight the connection between strong daily attendance, school culture, and student success, we kicked off a month full of vibrant dress-up days that brought energy to every hallway and classroom.

Here is a look back at how our students and staff dressed up to show up:

  • Jersey Day: We kicked off the festivities by repping our favorite sports teams. From local school leagues to professional jerseys, the message was clear: every student is a key player on our team, and our school is stronger when everyone shows up to play.

  • Dot Day: Inspired by the message of creativity and making your mark, students arrived covered in colorful dots and polka patterns. It served as a great reminder that every single day of school helps us connect the dots toward a brighter future.

  • Hat Day: Hats off to great attendance! From cozy beanies and baseball caps to wildly creative handmade hats, students tipped their headwear to the importance of being in class on time.

  • Neon Day: We brightened up the building in high-visibility style. Dressed in electric pinks, glowing yellows, and neon greens, our school shined bright, reminding everyone that bright futures start with regular school attendance.

  • Sunglasses Day: Shining students show up every day! Students rocked their favorite shades. The future is definitely bright when you build strong habits early!

  • Twin Day: Double the students, double the fun! Friends paired up in matching outfits to emphasize that accountability and supporting one another makes coming to school every day even better.

Beyond the colorful outfits and fun themes, Attendance Awareness Month reminded us all that every day in class counts. Being present helps students build connections, stay on track academically, and participate fully in our school community.

Thank you to all the students, families, and staff who participated, brought the energy, and made Attendance Awareness Month a huge success. Let’s keep this momentum going all year long—because showing up is the first step to achieving great things!
